The Blessing of Abraham

If you can grasp this revelation, it will bring us up to a level of operation and your personal standard of living that has never been experienced before. This is because the principle of this teaching changes the image of you within; and, if you can change the image of yourself within you, you can change the image of you without. When things go wrong in our lives, we should evaluate our honor or dishonoring of God. When we dishonor God things go wrong in our lives to guide us back to a right fellowship with God. When we honor God, yet, things go wrong in our lives they provide the opportunity for an increase in faith in God.

  • Those who honor God will be honored by Him, but those who despise Him will be lightly esteemed (1 Samuel 2:30)
  • We honor God by honoring His Word, which means His Word weighs heavily in our lives.
  • We cannot honor God without knowing His Word.
  • To despise God's Word means to not consider it when making decisions.
  • Those who are no longer immature but are mature honor God. (Hebrews 5:11-6:8)
  • We are immature when we are no longer receptive or responsive to God's Word.
  • We are immature when we have not increased in knowledge to the point that we able to impart knowledge to new believers.
  • We are mature when we are obedient to the elementary principles of the church and are ready for an experiential relationship.
  • There is honor that comes from God only - for the mature - the blessing, which causes us to be successful in life (Genesis 12:1-3, 22:16-18; Galatians 3:13-29)
  • The promise and/or blessing is an empowerment or an enablement.
  • God made Abraham a promise
  • Leave Ur and go to an unknown country (the blessing is manifested in a barren place, not a built out place).
  • God promised Abraham that he should possess this land forever.
  • God promised Abraham a child and that his descendents would become a great nation
  • If we belong to Christ, we should overcome doubt, discouragement and disbelief understanding that we are heirs of the promise of Abraham.
  • God is the source of the blessing, which prospers in every area of our lives.
  • We activate the blessing by obeying God.
  • We actualize the blessing by giving (Ezekiel 44:28-20), speaking faith (one word), and association (Genesis 47:7-12).
