Dear Kingdom Builders,
On April 27, 1997 our church began at Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 1112 Jefferson Street. Our church for almost thirteen years has been committed to reaching out to the Least, the Lost, and the Left out. As a result, we have seen thousands of souls come to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and countless others who once had no purpose or possession now living life on purpose.
As you probably are aware by now, we are embarking upon a journey of faith in a new stewardship campaign called Dare to Believe. In this brochure, you will find information that will share with you, in detail, what we are attempting to accomplish with your prayers and financial participation in what God has called all those who call Greater Grace Temple Community Church their home to do.
I believe that this
is the campaign where you and I can enter the dimension of manifestation.
If you will partner with Lakisha and I to make a sacrificial offering
towards the Dare to Believe campaign, I believe we can
burn the mortgage on our existing church, purchase the 19.86 acres of
land located at 509 West Trinity Lane, and prepare for the initial phase
of building The Campus in only three (3) years.
We are undertaking
perhaps the greatest task that God will allow in our lifetime - clearly
a God-sized endeavor! While we can’t all give the same amount of financial
support to the Dare to Believe
campaign, we can all give sacrificially. To sacrifice means to
willingly give the best I have for a greater purpose. God will lead
you to your commitment and sacrifice if you sincerely ask Him
to speak to you. There is no greater investment than to invest in God’s
Kingdom.
What you and I offer
to God in this campaign will be an expression of who we are and what
we value most in life. II Corinthians 5:14-15 (Amplified Bible), “For
the love of Christ controls and urges and impels us, because we are
of the opinion and conviction that [if] One died for all, then all died;
And He died for all, so that all those who live might live no longer
to and for themselves, but to and for Him Who died and was raised again
for their sake.” Once you realize Jesus died on the cross for
you and your sins, you will no longer live the same way. You will be
motivated by a new reality in your life and that is that your life,
your time, your talents, and your treasures are no longer yours to do
with as you please, but rather you are His to do with as He pleases
in bringing many others into the life-transforming, destiny-altering
relationship with Christ.
Every one of us who
call Greater Grace Temple Community Church their church home has an
opportunity to do something that will spiritually impact this area for
the Kingdom of God.
Ask yourself these four (4) questions:
- Do I believe that the spiritual and social condition of those without Christ is perilous and thus deserves my intentional efforts and investments in reaching them?
- Do I believe that the message, ministry and worship we have to share is so good that it would be a crime to keep it to ourselves?
- Do I believe that others deserve an opportunity to be saved and blessed so much so that I’m willing to forgo some of my personal convenience and make a financial sacrifice to give them a shot?
- Do I believe in the church I call home, my pastor, and the urgency of this campaign in so much that I am willing to make some sacrifices to see to it that our church accomplishes its divine purpose?
If you can say yes
to all of these, then let us come before God, the center of our worship
and devotion, and break ourselves open — our time, talents, treasures,
and faith and pour them before Him for the sake of His Kingdom and church.
God bless you as you personally Dare To Believe!
Please review the brochure
and capture or recapture the vision, run with the vision, and see it
come to pass.
Because of Grace,
Breonus M. Mitchell, Sr.
